!!!craving to spend absurd amounts of money

I'm giddy with excitement at the prospect of back to school shopping.
thus i am going to the Northpark Center with two girlfriends tomorrow to do some serious shopping. and while I've been schlepping around at home this week while I'm waiting for my cheeks to recover from my wisdom teeth removal, I've been stalking clothing sites. i built various shopping carts that surmounted to ridiculous amounts of money.

These are what i want most; a really nice pair of Ann D look-a-like's for only 200$ from freepeople. i want. them. so bad.

and also lovely oxfords by rachel comey at URBN.

when my dad sees how much money i'm going to withdraw from savings today he's going to be very angry...
best go count my pocket change!

PANDAMONIUM

loving this new swimsuit i bought.

It's from insight. Did i mention that i love insight? cause i do.
i've been admiring this swimsuit from afar, and i am equally in love with the one-peice version.
I thought the panda print was so cute, and bought it at URBN once it went on sale. (cause i'm super cheap. lOl)
In addition to buying this swimsuit, i also blew my paycheck at amazon.com on some books, conor oberst and iron&wine's new albums, a few comedy DVDs, and fim and a flash add on both for my diana+ camera. which reminds me i need to get some film developed...
currently reading a hilarious book called "Be More Chill" by Ned Vizzini. About a nerdy kid who swallows a "squip;" an interactive computer chip in the form of a pill that is implanted in your brain once swallowed. From there it talks to you (in keanu reeve's voice!) and tells you how to be chill.

my favorite part is when Jeremy, the main character, becomes an expert on selling beanie babies for cash, thus stealing his aunt's prized beanie babies and selling them on ebay to afford a squip. LOLs insue...

must sleep now, i have the pleasure of working a double shift tomorrow...-_-

You're Welcome

I got the style.com application for my ipod touch and was playing around with it, looking through fashion shows and whatnot.
and came across wunderkind's fall '09 line!
i really liked the second half of the peices. the beginning outfits where very monotoned, black, and structured; i've never been one to like minimalism. i like monotones 11% of the time.
anywho, i awed at wunderkind's mix of patterns and the overall color sceme. The screenprints didn't hurt either. love me some good screen prints.

you're welcome.

I could never know what the dead man sees..

it's horrible how badly i am procrastinating at the moment. i need to complete my college prepbook within the 3 hours between school and work, and yet i keep finding more entertaining things to do that homework.
My spring break was wonderful, i went to many thirft stores and vintage stores, played some beach volleyball, pigged out on junk food, and found time to work on the various art projects i start but never intend to finish..
one of them being the thrift store finds that needed some reconstruction.

I got this from buffalo exchange in dallas back in january. It's got these random, short blue horizontal stiches all over it, and i had to take it home. only thing was, it was floor length so i cut the lining off the bottom and made it shorter.

I got this one at the goodwill in Plano. it was a size 24. it was huge. and also floor length. now it's my favorite skirt. :) don't you love how flamboyant it is?

picked up these suede boots at buffulo exchange also. proably would of walked right past them if they werent so cheap. hehe

probably one of my best finds though was this wrap dress i found in a great shop in dallas called Gratitude Vintage. it's from the 70's and wonderfully whimsical.

then heres a compilation of various patterns of things i got. i still need to sew alot of them to make them wearable, and i hope to share my projects in the coming weeks!

Top 10 movies i want to see in 2009(in no particular order):

confessions of a shopaholic:
yes, i know. looks tacky right? i laughed histarically first time i saw the trailer. I don't think Isla Fisher gets the credit she deserves for her comedic skills, she was good in hot rod. anyway, I can really relate to the movie cause my dads been bugging me about how im not saving my money and i'm spending it all on clothes...

sunshine cleaning:
another one with Isla, and it also has the charming emily blunt in it. i think this movie looks..."heart-warming" as the generic phrase goes to say. a story about broke cleaning ladies is bland in theory, but it's of course one of those wonderful quirky comedies.

watchmen:
Technically an anti-superhero movie. where civilians in fact hate the superheros, then a long story about old, bitter, retired heros insues. I actually bought the grphic novel a year ago when i found out it was named the most epic graphic novel of all time or whatever, and only got halfway through it cause...if you didn't notice the plotline sounds pretty bad. so basically i'm just holding out to see if the story's any good.

miss march:
YES! This flick is the brain child of Trevor Moore and Zach Cregger, 2/5 of the Whitest Kids you know acting troup/sketch show on IFC. i know this because that show is hilarious, hence the movie will hopefully be as funny. i say hopefully because the premise of the movie is that whole roadtrip to get laid plotline that been done a million times..

i love you, man:
Paul Rudd doesn't have any friends, resulting in having no one to be his best man for his wedding, thus begins a series of man dates. or "bromances" as he calls them. the trailer is super funny, as are the actors in it, like Jason Segel, and Rashida Jones of the Office.

wolverine:
i like any marvel movie. end of story. well no, maybe except for Thor.

last house on the left:
about a group of teenagers who kill these two girls, and then the murderers take refuge in the girl's parents house. Then the parents know what they did i take revenge and stuff. i dont even know if i want to see this that bad. i might have been swayed by the dreamy colors in the trailer, and the beautiful rendition of "sweet child o' mine" by Taken by Trees playing in the background.

the brothers bloom:
a limited release movie, makes me nontheless excited to see it. i'm getting the feeling its a much more beautiful, witty version of oceans 11. i love racheal weisz's character. She collects hobbies, so her character is an expert at many random things (like breakdancing and ping-pong). i also love the fact that adrien brody is in the movie. i love adrien brody. i love everything about this movie and i havn't even seen it. watch the trailer!

the year one:
in this flim, jack black and michael cera are banned from their caveman tribe and have to fend for themselves. nothing more is given away but that description, but just thinking about wittle michael cera as a caveman is quite laughable.

harry potter:
yes. my guilty pleasure. can't believe it was going to come out last november, but then it had to get moved to 2009. D:
